Phylum Rhodophyta – Order Ceramiales – Family Ceramiaceae – Tribe Lasiothalieae
Selected citations: With the characters of the tribe.
Type species: L. hirsuta Harvey 1855a: 558.
Taxonomic notes: While several species have been placed in Lasiothalia, probably only the type species now remains in the genus. Other previously accepted species were L. plumigera and. L. superbiens, now placed in Dasythamniella (Compsothamnieae) and L. formosa, now Hirsutithallia formosa (Callithamnieae).
