Taxonomic notes: H. conspersa is probably limited to the west coast. The type (Fig. 46C) was from Garden I., W. Aust., [lectotype (Tray. Set 132) in Herb. Harvey, TCD] and the species has been rarely collected. References to H. conspersa on southern Australian coasts probably all apply to Erythrymenia minuta Kylin, which Harvey incorrectly considered to be juvenile plants of H. conspersa.
