Common name: Fox-tail rescue.
Description:
Erect slender annual usually less than 40 cm high; leaf blades setaceous.
Panicle 5-20 cm long, not bristly; first glume 0.5-2 mm long, the second 3-7 mm long; lemmas with cilia confined to the apical third of the margin of at least the uppermost lemmas.

All States except the N.T. Native to the Mediterranean, but an early introduction to North America from where it was described.
