Common name: Tiny violet.

Description:
Perennial stoloniferous herb; glabrous or sparsely pubescent; stems short, erect; leaves tufted, glabrous or sparsely pubescent, lamina broadly ovate to ovate-rhomboid; margins with a few coarse glandular teeth, tapering into the petiole; petioles 1-3 cm long, sometimes longer; stipules linear-lanceolate, 2-3 mm long, glandular-denticulate.

Peduncles 3-5 cm long, glabrous; bracteoles near the middle; sepals lanceolate, 2.5-3.5 mm long, green, glabrous, slightly produced at the base; petals twice the length of the sepals, a pale to dark blue-violet, concolorous; lateral petals glabrous or weakly pubescent inside; style geniculate near the base, suberect and slightly curved above, terete; anther cells 1-2 mm long.

Capsule ovoid, 4-5 mm long; seeds ovoid, 1-2 mm long, mottled reddish-brown to black.
