Description:
Leaflets obcordate, obovate- or oblong-cuneate, truncate to emarginate.

calyx 11-17 mm long, teeth lanceolate-subulate, 7-9 (rarely 10) mm long, longer than the tube; petals 18-22 ram; standard reddish-purple, the wings dark-red.

Pod 30-50 x 4.5-6 mm, not constricted between the seeds, dark-brown or almost black, usually glabrous; seed 3-4.5 mm, mottled with dark or nearly black.

Distribution:  S.Aust.: NL, YP, SL, KI.   Occurs in southern Europe.
