Description:
Shrub to 1.5 m high, more or less scurfy with stellate-glandular hairs; stems erect, branched, terete, viscid when young; leaves elliptic, attenuate into a very short petiole at the base, acute, mucronate, 1.7-4 cm long, 1-12 mm wide, entire or obscurely obtuse-toothed, thick.

Flowers axillary, solitary or in few-flowered cymes, on peduncles 3-5 mm long; bracteoles directly below the flower, linear, 5-8 mm long; sepals connate to form an undulate rim to I mm long, subglabrous; corolla 13-16 mm long, white, glabrous or subglabrous outside, bearded in the throat; lobes oblong-elliptic, 3-5 mm long with broad wings, often sinuate and fimbriate near the base; style 7-8 mm long, villous; indusium transversely oblong, c. 2 mm wide, glabrous except for white bristles around the orifice; ovary narrow-ellipsoid, c. 2 mm long, 2-celled, subglabrous.

Fruit obovoid, c. 3 mm long, rugose, glabrous, green.
