Rubus moluccanus
Citation:
L., Sp. Pl. 1197 (1753).
Synonymy: R. hillii sensu H. Eichler, Suppl. 168 (1965).
Common name: Wild raspberry, Molucca raspberry.
Description:
Branches and petioles densely tomentose, with small recurved prickles; leaves large, thick, almost circular, with 5-7 short broad finely toothed lobes, deeply wrinkled and subglabrous above, rusty-tomentose below, base cordate.
Inflorescence a compact axillary raceme; flowers large, each subtended by a deeply toothed pink bract; sepals acute, c. 12 mm long; petals as long, pink.
Fruit not recorded.
