Citation: Weihe & Nees in Bluff & Fingerh., Comp. Fl. Germ. 1:681 (1825).

Common name: None

Description:
Stems obscurely angled, deep-reddish, with abundant stalked glands, pricklets and small but numerous hooked prickles; leaves 3-5-lobed, relatively broad, glabrescent above, pilose below but not tomentose, aspect greenish below.

Inflorescence a large pyramidal panicle, stalked glands, pricklets and relatively straight prickles abundant; sepals deflexed after flowering, later clasping the berry, with abundant stalked glands; petals and ripe fruit not seen.

Distribution:  Sparingly established (2 collections) in S.Aust.

  Native to Europe.

Conservation status: naturalised
