Description:
Evergreen shrub or small tree, glabrous; leaves 5-18 cm long, oblong-obovate, base cuneate or rounded, apex acuminate, dark-green and glossy, sparsely serrate to subentire, thick and coriaceous.
Flowers in racemes, numerous, small; petals c. 4 mm long, white.
Fruit succulent, ovoid, purple-black.
