Synonymy: Not Applicable

Common name: Peppermint.

Description:
Branches with scattered long hairs especially along the nodes, usually erect and little-branched; leaf blade lanceolate, elliptic, 2.5-8 x 1-2.5 cm, usually at least 3 times longer than broad.

Inflorescence spikelike, rarely broader than 14 mm when flowering and usually 3-6 times longer than broad; calyx lobes with long marginal cilia at least towards the apex; anthers included.
