Common name: Northern mistletoe.
Description:
Leaves oblanceolate or narrow-spathulate, 40-110 x 4-12 mm, widest at two-thirds the length, gradually attenuate at the base into a petiole 5-10 mm long, acute to rounded at the apex; penninerved with 2 or 4 lateral veins nearly as prominent as the midrib.
Inflorescence peduncle 1-3 mm long; pedicels 3-8 mm long; bracts 1-2 mm long; calyx limb mostly 6-lobed and 1 mm long; corolla 25-50 mm long, usually red, rarely yellow.
Fruit ellipsoid or pear-shaped, 8-14 mm long, usually light-coloured and somewhat translucent.

Distribution:

Parasitic on a wide range of hosts but common on Atalaya, Heterodendrum, Bauhinia, Santalum and Casuarinaceae.
