Lepidium pseudohyssopifolium

Citation: Hewson, Brunonia 4:281, fig. 20 (1982).

Synonymy: L. peregrinum Thell. var. glabripes Thell. in Hayward & Druce, Advent. Fl. Tweedside 272 (1919); L. hyssopifolium Thell. var. epilosum Domin, Biblthca Bot. 89:699 (1926).

Common name: None

Description:
Annual or perennial herbs, erect, to 60 cm tall, glabrous; leaves variable, narrow-linear, 10-20 mm long, 1-2 mm wide, broad-lanceolate, to 9 cm long, c. 1.5 cm wide, pinnate to entire, bases attenuate; marginal hairs acute, resembling cilia or absent.

Sepals c. 0.75 mm long; petals to 0.8 mm long or absent; stamens 2, median.

Silicula elliptic to ovate, 3-3.5 mm long, 2-2.5 mm wide, winged slightly in the upper half, forming a shallow open notch; pedicels mostly straight, spreading, longer than the silicula, terete, glabrous; seeds ellipsoid, c. 1.5 mm long.

Distribution:  Rare species of dry to semi-arid regions.

S.Aust.: NL, MU, YP, SL, SE.   W.Aust.; Qld; N.S.W.; Vic.

Conservation status: native

Flowering time: at all times especially Sept. — April.
