Description:
Capsule ellipsoid or slightly compressed, 8-12 mm long, 4-6 mm wide, pubescent; valves entire; seeds biconvex, orbicular, c. 4 mm diam., black, shiny, with a distinct rim and a yellowish wing c. 0.5 mm wide.

Flowers in loose terminal racemes sometimes corymbose or umbellate; bracts leaf-like to linear, 1-6 cm long; peduncles 2-7 cm long, pubescent, obscurely articulate below the ovary; bracteoles absent; sepals narrow-elliptic to elliptic, 1.5-2.5 mm long, glandular-pubescent, adnate to the ovary for two-thirds of its length; corolla 6-15 mm long, yellow, glandular-pubescent outside, pubescent toward the base inside, with a distinct pocket at least half as long as the ovary; wings subequal; auricles 1-1.5 mm wide; anthers 1-1.5 mm long; style 2-5 mm long, 2-fid almost to the base, villous above; indusium split in halves, each oblong, to 1.5 mm long and 1.2 mm wide, slightly concave with an almost straight orifice beset with prominent white bristles; ovary glandular-pubescent; dissepiment about two-thirds as long as the ovary, with ovules in 2 rows.
