Description:
Perennial 30-60 cm high; corm to 1.5 cm diam.; leaves 3-5, narrowly sword-shaped, 15-70 cm long, 8-10 mm wide, flat, glabrous.
Spike straight, one-sided, 2-8-flowered; spathe bracts lanceolate, acuminate, 3-6 cm long; flowers trumpet-shaped, white to cream or pale-pink; perianth tube exserted, slender, slightly curved, 5-7 cm long, confluent with the lobes; dorsal lobe broadly elliptic, acute, somewhat hooded, 2.5-3.5 cm long; upper lateral lobes slightly smaller; lower 3 lobes elliptic, acute, equal, 1.8-2.8 cm long, each with a reddish-purple mark near the centre; anthers 7-9 mm long, purple; style branches spathulate, 6-7 mm long, level with tips of the anthers.
