Description:
Trailing or climbing perennial herbs; leaves pinnate, 3-foliolate; stipules and stipels small.
Flowers clustered at thickened nodes along axillary raceme-rhachises; bracts small, caducous; bracteoles minute; upper 2 calyx-lobes connate; standard orbicular; upper stamen free, the other 9 connate into an open sheath; anthers equal; ovules many; style not bearded near the tip; stigma small, terminal.
Pod linear-oblong, compressed; seeds arillate.
