Description:
Undershrub to 60cm high; stems ascending, branched, terete, slightly ribbed, brownish-tomentose; leaves ovate to elliptic-oblong, acute, 7-20 mm long, 3-6 mm wide, entire, brown-grey- to whitish-tomentose but ultimately glabrescent above, with revolute margins.

Peduncles usually solitary in leaf axils, 5-8 mm long, tomentose, l-3-flowered; bract linear-elliptic or leaf-like, 3-6 mm long, tomentose; bracteoles oblong, 3-4.5 mm long; pedicel 1-2 mm long; sepals to 1.5 mm long, ovate, hairy; corolla 10-12 mm long, blue, yellowish- or brownish-tomentose with loose shortly dendritic hairs (often appearing stellate) outside; posterior lobes narrowly lanceolate, 5-6 mm long, with purplish-red auricles 1.2-1.6 mm wide; anterior lobes narrowly lanceolate, 4-5 mm long; style 4-5 mm long; indusium 0.7-1 mm long, 0.5-1 mm wide, red-brown; ovary finely tomentose.

Fruit c. 1.5 mm long.
