Description:
Undershrub or perennial to 45 cm high; stems erect or ascending, simple or few-branched, more or less triquetrous, glabrous; leaves remote, oblanceolate to oblong or lanceolate, obtuse to acute, 1.5-4 cm long, 3-6 mm wide, entire or with 2-4 small remote teeth, glabrous, with flat or slightly revolute margins.
Peduncles 1-3 in a cluster, papillate to pubescent, 5-15 mm long, 1- or 2-flowered; bract lanceolate to elliptic, 2-4 mm long, glabrous; bracteoles linear-oblong, 1-3 mm long; pedicel very short; sepals to 0.6 mm long, almost hidden by tomentum; corolla c. 12 mm long, blue, dark-grey with appressed dendritic hairs outside; posterior lobes narrowly elliptic, 6-7 mm long, with purple-red auricles c. 1 mm wide; anterior lobes narrowly lanceolate, 4-5 mm long; style 3-4 mm long; indusium c. 0.5 mm long, c. 0.8 mm wide, purplish; ovary densely dark-grey tomentose.
Fruit c. 2 mm long.
