Common name: Grooved dampiera.

Description:
Undershrub to 1 m high; stems erect, sparsely branched, deeply ribbed, tomentose to glabrescent and papillate; leaves 5-47 mm long, 2-26 mm wide, remote to somewhat fasciculate, entire to dentate, glabrescent and often papillate above, tomentose below, with slightly revolute margins.

Peduncles 1-3 in a cluster, tomentose, 3-16 mm long, 3-9-flowered; bract 2-4 mm long, glabrescent; bracteoles linear-oblong, 1-3 mm long; pedicel 1-4 mm long; sepals to 0.5 mm long, almost hidden by tomentum; corolla 11-14 mm long, blue, grey-tomentose outside; posterior lobes narrowly oblong, 6-8 mm long, with pale-brown or yellow auricles 1.5-2 mm wide; anterior lobes oblong-lanceolate, 4-6 mm long; style 3-6 mm long; indusium c. 0.8 mm long, c. 1.2 mm wide, dark-brown; ovary conspicuously tomentose with spreading hairs.

Fruit 2-3 mm long.
