Description:
Woody shrub with prominent tuberculate oil glands on the branchlets, leaves and hypanthium; branchlets white; leaves appressed and not overlapping to slightly spreading and overlapping the next pair for half their length, or rarely crowded, linear to oblong, 1.9-3.1 mm long, semiterete.

Flowers solitary in leaf axils, at least c. 6-7 mm across, peduncles articulated close to the flower, with a pair of very narrowly boat-shaped bracteoles at the articulation; hypanthium hemispherical, densely covered in tuberculate oil glands; calyx-lobes deltoid; stamens c. 21, in groups opposite the calyx-lobes, filaments geniculate; anther loculi fused, opening in divergent slits; ovary completely fused to the hypanthium, 2- or rarely 3-celled, with 6 or 7 ovules per cell.

Seeds flat-sided with rounded backs.
