Description:
Perennial herb to 5 cm high, with few lower branches with internodes at least 5 times longer than those of the much-branched upper branches, erect to decumbent; stems quadrangular, with scattered spreading hairs slightly bent downwards mainly along the ridges; leaves and stipules equal, usually in whorls of 6 rarely 8, linear to linear-oblanceolate, 2-5 x c. 1 mm, obtuse to rounded, covered with scattered straight spreading hairs on the upper surface, recurved margin and lower main vein, erect or spreading, rarely reflexed on the lower branches.
Inflorescence 1 to few terminal cymules each with 1-3 usually sessile flowers; corolla white to cream, smooth.
Fruit c. 1.5 mm long, scarcely lobed and not breaking apart.
