Common name: Flat-awned threeawn.
Description:
Tufted perennial 30-60 cm tall; leaf blades conduplicate and setaceous, 12-17 cm x c. 1 mm.
Inflorescence narrow and spike-like, to 18 x c. 1 cm; glumes subequal, 6-10 mm long, scaberu1ous or smooth, 1-nerved, the lower acuminate to aristulare, the upper obtuse and mucronate; lemma 6-9 mm long (including the callus c. 1 mm long), convolute, densely spiny-tuberculate towards the apex; awns subequal 9-17 mm long, scaberulous, flattened.
