Taxonomic notes:
*A. microcarpa (Boiss. & Reuter) Rothm. has been reported from S.Aust. (?SL, ?SE). It differs from A. arvensis in its oblong stipule lobes and smaller fruits. Until the taxonomy of this genus is better understood it seems best to treat all S. Aust. material as belonging to a single species.
