Amaranthus macrocarpus
Citation:

Synonymy: Amaranthus macrocarpus Common name: Dwarf amaranth, Boggabri weed.
Description:
Glabrous erect annuals often less than 10 cm high; leaves narrow-ovate to oblong, mucronate, 1-4 cm long (incl. petiole of 2-25 mm).
Flowers in axillary globular clusters; bracts and bracteoles elliptic, greenish; perianth-segments usually 3, oblanceolate, with scarious margins, mucronate, 2.5-5 mm long in fruit, longer than the bracts and bracteoles; styles 2 or 3.
Fruit more or less wrinkled, oblong, much longer than the perianth, indehiscent, very dark when mature.
