Common name: Dwarf lantern flower.

Description:
Small erect undershrub to 80 cm high, covered with a mixture of long simple hairs and a shorter stellate pubescence; leaves often subglabrous above, crenate, cordate, orbicular to ovate, obtuse or subacute, 1-6 cm long.

Peduncles often exceeding the petioles and lengthening to 2-4 cm long as the fruit matures; calyx c. 7-8 mm long, broad and indented at the base, with acute-lanceolate lobes rather longer than the tube; corolla yellow, twice as long as the calyx.

Capsule about as long as the calyx, 7-8 mm diam.; fruitlets usually 10, greenish, breaking away from the central axis, becoming almost glabrous, subobtuse or slightly pointed, containing 2 pubescent seeds.
