Common name: Lined tritonia.
Description:
Perennial 30-60 cm high; corm to 2 cm diam.; leaves 4-8, erect, linear to lanceolate, 7-30 cm long, 7-14 mm wide, dark-green, with 3 or 5 prominent pallid veins.
Scape exceeding the leaves; flowers 7-15; spathes scarious, brown, the outer bract 8-12 mm long; perianth zygomorphic, cream with fine dark veins; tube funnel-shaped, 1-1.5 cm long; lobes oblong to oblanceolate, straight with spreading tips, 1.5-2.5 cm long, subequal with the dorsal lobe wider than the others; stamens unilateral; filaments curved, c. 1 cm long; anthers 7-9 mm long, pale; style exceeding the stamens; branches narrowly cuneate, c. 4 mm long.
