Aust.), white-pubescent, entire; flowers 7-9 mm long, pink, drying purplish, on slender 4-5 mm long pedicels densely pubescent with dark and/or white appressed hairs.
Flowers several to many (to 20), in lax racemes, on the distal half of the rather sparsely pubescent 10-30 cm long peduncle; bract triangular-lanceolate, 1-2 mm long, scarious, pubescent; bracteoles attached at the base of the calyx, subulate, to 1 mm long, obscured by hairs; calyx 4-5 mm long, rather densely pubescent with loosely appressed dark (blackish) and/or white often basifixed hairs; teeth spreading, narrow-triangular, acuminate, shorter than the tube; standard often asymmetrical, with or without a pair of longitudinal folds at the base; wings as long as the standard; geniculate in the middle, with the lamina projecting upwards, the auricle glabrous or ciliate, rarely woolly; keel shortest; semicircular, bluntly and widely beaked, twisted sideways, nearly always (in S. Pod cylindrical, 20-25 x 4-5 mm, tapering gradually at both ends, hoary with basifixed hairs, suture deeply impressed, to 20-seeded; seed cordate-reniform, 1.5-2 x c. 1.5 mm, dark-brown, shiny.
