Stylidium despectum
Citation:

Synonymy: Stylidium inundatum Common name: Small trigger-plant.
Description:
Annual with erect stem to 15 cm tall, usually somewhat fleshy at least at the base, little-branched, glabrous; leaves sessile, lanceolate to linear, 3-7 x 1-3 mm, acute or obtuse, entire, fleshy.
Inflorescence a thyrse with one to several monochasia each with 3-6 flowers, sparsely glandular-pubescent; peduncle absent; bracts linear, 2-4 mm long; sepals scarcely connate except for 2 almost completely fused, scarcely pubescent; free lobes c. 1.5 mm long; corolla with the tube shorter than the sepals, white or pale-pink, usually without appendages in the throat, or if present then rudimentary; lobes oblong-oblanceolate, with a rounded apex, more or less vertically paired, glabrous; labellum minute, ovate, acuminate, entire; column as long as the shorter petals, with anthers somewhat darker; ovary with numerous ovules along an elongate central placenta.
Capsules narrowly obconical, 6-8 mm long; seeds narrowly ellipsoid, c. 0.3 mm long, with faint vertical ridges.
