Description:
Slender perennial, to 60 cm high; leaf blades setaceous or narrow and flat, rather short.
Panicle narrow, more or less interrupted, 15-30 cm long, 3-10 mm broad, the branches erect-spreading, to 2 cm long, but clothed with spikelets to the base; glumes subequal, hyaline, c. 1 mm long, the first obtuse, the second acute; lemma nearly 2 mm long, acute.
