Common name: Cord grass.

Description:
50-130 cm high; leaves to 8 mm broad, very stiff, spreading, tapering to a long slender point.

Inflorescence 10-25 cm long, usually with 4 or 5 spikes; spikelets 15-20 mm long; rhachis extended beyond the spikelets as a flexuous bristle.

Distribution:  S.Aust.: SL.   Vic.   Native to Europe.

Conservation status: naturalised

Flowering time: Dec. — March.
