Common name: Striated catchfly.

Description:
Whole plant pubescent, greyish, annual, c. 25 cm high; leaves linear-lanceolate, c. 3 cm long, c. 2.5 mm wide.

Flowers erect, in forked cymes; bracts herbaceous; fruiting calyx swollen, conical, 30-nerved, umbilicate, c. 15 mm long, with subulate teeth c. 5 mm long; petals pink, notched; styles 3.

Capsule ovoid-conical, sessile, dehiscing by 6 teeth.
