Description:
Small pubescent shrub; leaves alternate, sessile, linear, somewhat fleshy.
Flowers bisexual, solitary and axillary, ebracteolate; perianth urceolate, shortly 5-lobed, fleshy in the lower half; stamens 5.
Fruiting perianth shortly turbinate, hard, glabrous, with 5 prominent ribs on the segments and 5 less obvious ribs between the segments, base truncate and slightly hollowed, apex truncate and extending into a hard narrow entire horizontal 5-angled wing; seed horizontal, circular; perisperm central; testa membranous.
