Description:
Bracts shorter than the calyx and apices tightly appressed to the spike; peduncle usually arched, usually shorter than the leaves, 1.3-2.5 mm diam.

Distribution:  Growing on disturbed areas, particularly on sandy soils.

S.Aust.: LE, EP, NL, MU, YP, SL, KI, SE.   W.Aust.; N.S.W.; Vic.; Tas.   Native to and/or naturalised in western Europe, Mediterranean region into south-western Asia.

Flowering time: mainly Oct. — Dec.
