Description:
Glabrous annual, 10-20 cm high; leaf blades flat, very narrow.
Spike 5-15 cm long, c. 2 mm thick, straight or almost so; glumes 6-7 mm long; first floret sessile, with the back of its lemma pressed against the hollow of the rhachis, the second smaller, on a short extension of the rhachilla.
