Description:
Large shrubs or small trees; bark green on branches and twigs; stipular spines and spines terminating short leaf rhachises; leaves bipinnate, primary leaflets in 1-3 pairs, petiole and rhachis almost obsolete, secondary leaflets numerous.
Flowers in racemes; sepals reflexed; petals yellow, banner-lobe soon reddish; stamens 10, all fertile; anthers versatile, splitting lengthwise.
Pod almost cylindrical, constricted between the seeds.
