Description:
Perennial 10-30 cm high; corm 1-2 cm diam.; leaves 3 or 4, basal and cauline, linear to narrowly lanceolate, grass-like, 10-35 cm long, 5-9 mm wide, glabrous, glaucous; stem simple or few-branched, pubescent.
Spathes elliptic, acute, herbaceous, the outer bract 1.5-3 cm long, the inner one 2-4 cm long, enclosing 3 or 4 flowers; flowers yellow-brown flushed with blue or violet; outer segments with claws 6-7 mm long and deflexed oblanceolate laminae 1.5-1.8 cm long, each with a bright-yellow mark; inner segments slightly smaller, entire, oblanceolate to elliptic, deflexed, unmarked; filaments connate at the base; style branches 7-8 mm long, with lanceolate crests 7-10 mm long.
Capsule globose, pendulous when mature, c. 8 mm diam.
