Description:
Perennial 50-90 cm high; corm c. 2 cm diam.; leaf solitary, narrowly linear, lax, 60-100 cm long, to 1 cm wide, glabrous; stem few-branched, glabrous.
Spathes elliptic, herbaceous with attenuate scarious apices, the outer bract 3-4 cm long, the inner one 5-7 cm long, enclosing 2 or 3 flowers; flowers pale-yellow, marked with brown in the centre; outer segments with erect bearded brown-streaked claws c. 1 cm long and patent or ascending obtuse laminae 1.4-2 cm long; inner segments 8-10 mm long, 3-fid, brown-speckled, the middle lobe attenuate, coiled obliquely inwards, the lateral lobes shorter and obtuse; filaments three-quarters connate; style branches c. 6 mm long, whitish, with narrowly triangular crests 3-6 mm long.
Capsule clavate, c. 1.5 cm long, erect.
