Inflorescence an open panicle; spikelets 2-flowered, the rhachilla not continued; glumes 2, persistent, spreading, membranous, keeled, %nerved; lemmas awnless, truncate, 5-nerved and very shortly and irregularly toothed at the summit, slightly longer than the glumes; callus very short, bearded.
