Description:
Shrub to 0.7 m high; leaves broadly elliptic to orbicular, 1-2.2 x c. 1.5 mm, sessile, margins minutely ciliolate-membranous.

Peduncle 0.5-1 mm long; hypanthium turbinate, deeply 5-ridged, c. 2 mm long, obscured by the sepals; sepals semi-orbicular, membranous, often auriculate, markedly fimbriate, c. 2 mm diam.; petals orbicular, pink, c. 2 mm diam.; stamens 10, in a single whorl; filaments strap-like, c. 0.4 mm broad; ovules 6, collateral; ovary small, near the summit of the tube.
