Description:
Shrub, spreading to erect, mostly 0.5-1 m high; leaves obovate to oblong, 1.5-4 x 0.4-1 mm, subsessile, margins minutely ciliate.
Flowers subsessile; hypanthium dorsiventrally compressed-obconical, 2-5 mm long; ribs 5, 1 adaxial and 4 twisting to meet in 2 lateral pairs near the base, the abaxial surface convex; intercostal surface smooth; sepals semi-orbicular, membranous or pinkish, entire, c. 0.7 x 1 mm; petals broadly elliptic, white to pink, 1.7-4 x 1-2 mm; stamens 5, opposite the petals; ovules 4, radial about a small apical placenta.
