Description:
Small slender usually hairy perennial; stems procumbent, creeping and rooting at least at the lower nodes; leaves petiolate, with long hairs on both surfaces; leaf blades orbicular to reniform in out-line, 5-20 mm broad, divided to the base into 3 (very rarely 4) segments; leaflets obovate-cuneate; centre leaflet 3-dentate or apically 3-lobed and serrate; lateral leaflets 2-lobed and serrate; petioles usually 3-4 times as long as the blades, with long reflexed hairs especially towards the apex; stipules membranous, entire.
Peduncles leaf-opposed, shorter than the petioles; umbels contracted into small heads of 3-6 almost sessile flowers; petals purplish; fruits c. 1 mm long, c. 2 mm broad, compressed laterally; carpophore absent.
Mericarps with prominent acute almost keeled dorsal and intermediate ribs and inconspicuous lateral ribs.

In moist places, usually in forests along creeks and in river beds.
S.Aust.: SE. Qld; N.S.W.; Vic.; Tas. New Zealand (probably introduced from Australia).
