Description:
Perennial herb with prostrate and ascending stems and branches, hairy especially on both leaf-surfaces and the upper part of the petioles; leaf blades orbicular-cordate to reniform, c. 6-25 mm diam., shallowly or more deeply 7- rarely 5-lobed; lobes obtuse, crenate-dentate; stipules obtuse-cordate, membranous, entire, often red-dotted.
Peduncles usually shorter than the petioles; flowers sessile, usually more than 15 in one head; corolla at anthesis usually wider than the ovary; petals pale-yellow, with red dots.
Fruits 1-1.5 mm long, 1.5-2 mm broad, strongly compressed, with red irregularly-shaped dots; styles short, erect; mericarps convex between the prominent dorsal rib and the distinct filiform intermediate fibs, dark-brown when ripe.
