Description:
Annual herb to 18 cm high, viscid; basal leaves forming an ascending rosette, narrowly oblanceolate to lanceolate, attenuate into a short petiole, acute or subacute, 2-8 cm long, 2-9 mm wide, entire to dentate, minutely glandular- pubescent; stems prostrate to ascending, to 40 cm long, terete, glandular-pubescent; cauline leaves few, narrowly oblanceolate, 1-3 cm long, 2-3 mm wide, entire.

Flowers in terminal racemes which may become umbellate near the top; bracts almost linear, leaf-like; peduncles 8-30 mm long, patent, glandular-pubescent, articulate immediately below the ovary; bracteoles absent; sepals elliptic, c. 1.5 mm long, acute, pubescent, adnate to the ovary for about half its length; corolla 3-5, rarely to 12 mm long, yellow and glandular-pubescent outside, brownish and subglabrous inside, with a pocket up to the length of the ovary; wings subequal; auricles distinct; anthers 0.4-0.8 mm long; style 1.5-3 mm long, straight, glabrous; indusium transversely oblong, to 1 mm long, c. 1.5 mm wide, pilose below, with an almost straight orifice beset with prominent whitish bristles; ovary pubescent; dissepiment pubescent, about one-quarter as long as the ovary.

Capsule globular, 4-5 mm diam., glandular-pubescent; valves entire; seeds biconvex, orbicular, c. 2 mm diam., foveolate, black, shiny, with a broad hyaline wing overlapping the body.
