Description:
Shrub to 1 m high; stem erect, glabrous, sparsely branched, naked below, densely leafy above; leaves 2-5 cm long, 1-2 cm wide, pinnatisect with widely spaced linear segments to 1 mm wide, slightly fleshy, glabrous, dark-green.
Peduncles solitary or 2-6 near the end of each branch, erect, 6-12 cm long, naked, smooth, glabrous except for a tuft of matted woolly hairs at the base; involucral bracts c. 15, lanceolate, 8-11 mm long, 3-veined, sparsely glandular, papillose near the apex; ligules broadly linear, 20-24 mm long, somewhat recurved, bright-yellow; disk florets numerous, yellow.
Achenes ellipsoid, c. 3 mm long, brown, with a paler fleshy disk at the apex; pappus a woolly mass of fine tangled white hairs to 6 mm long, caducous.
