Citation: Chevall., Fl. Gen. Env. Paris 2:898 (1827).

Synonymy: Draba verna L., Sp. Pl. 642 (1753); E. vulgaris DC., Reg. Veg. Syst. Nat. 2:356 (1821).

Common name: Whitlow grass.

Description:
Annual herb, slender, 3-20 cm tall, hairy; leaves radical, spathulate to oblanceolate, 1-1.5 cm long, attenuate to petiole, entire or dentate.

Flowering scape leafless; sepals 1.5-2.5 cm long; petals 1.5-3 (rarely 6) mm long, bifid white or pink; stigma almost sessile.

Silicula narrow-elliptic to orbicular, 3-10 mm long, glabrous; pedicels spreading 2-30 mm long; seeds ovoid, 0.3-0.6 mm long.

Conservation status: naturalised
