Description:
Small annual, 8-30 cm high, with flat leaf blades to 10 cm long and loose sheaths.
Inflorescence clusters globular, 6-10 mm diam.; glumes c. 3 mm long, ciliate on the margins; lemma c. 4 mm long (including the point or awn of c. 2 mm).
