Description:
Annual, to 60 cm high; leaf blades to 11 cm long and c. 5 mm broad; ligule 0.
Inflorescence contracted, 5-15 cm long, well exserted, with 8-10 racemes; spikelets in 4 rows along the hairy axis, c. 2 mm long; first glume 3-nerved, c. 1 mm long, second glume 5-nerved, with a distinct point of c. 0.4 mm; first lemma 5-nerved, slightly longer than the second glume; second (fertile) lemma and palea about as long as the first lemma.
