Common name: None

Description:
Leaves 8.5-25 (rarely 38)x 2.5-11.5 (rarely 20) mm, scabrous or with short white appressed hairs particularly dense in young parts.

Calyx externally with moderately dense eglandular hairs mixed with occasional glandular hairs; corolla throat externally with fine eglandular hairs, internally glabrous; style eglandular-hairy, sometimes sparsely so.

Capsule glabrous, 1-6-seeded, often with remnants of undeveloped ovules and hooks present.

Distribution:  Along watercourses, in rocky areas, within mulga (Acacia aneura) woodland.

  W.Aust.; N.T.; Qld; N.S.W.

Conservation status: native

Flowering time: all year, depending on rains.

Biology: No text

Taxonomic notes: A species of northern and central arid Australia with 4 subspecies. 2 of these extend into northern S.Aust. When more is known of their biology there may be reason to raise them to species level.
