Description:
Stoloniferous perennials; leaf blades flat or folded; ligule membranous.
Inflorescence of spikes arranged digitately; spikelets 1-flowered, small, almost sessile, in 2 rows along one side of the narrow continuous (non-articulate) rhachis of the spikes, the rhachilla disarticulating and ending in a slender bristle; glumes narrow, acute, 1-nerved, shorter than the floret; lemma awnless, folded, keeled, 3-nerved.
