Description:
Perennial herb to 20 cm high; stems numerous, ascending, rigid, robust, branched, terete, glabrous or glabrescent; leaves oblanceolate, shallowly dentate, serrate or subentire, 1-3 cm long, 2-7 mm wide, glabrous or glabrescent.
Capitula sessile, biconvex to subglobular, 4-7 mm diam., greenish-cream; involucre hemispherical, remaining herbaceous; bracts obtuse, 2-3 mm long; female florets 6-8-seriate; bisexual florets 10-25.
Achenes 1.5-2.5 mm long, clavate, with a rounded glabrous apex up to 0.5 mm beyond the ribbed portion.
