Description:
Annual herbs.

Sepals erect, equal; petals clawed; stamens 6; median glands absent.

Fruit a silicula, dehiscent; valves with a strong midrib vanishing above; seeds in 2 rows per locule, mucous; radicle incumbent or accumbent.

Distribution:  10 species from Europe to central Asia.
